We will be delighted to welcome you to the 19th International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry 2025 (ISMSC2025), held in conjunction with the WPI-NanoLSI symposium from May 25-30, 2025, in Kyoto, Japan. The ISMSC is renowned as the most prestigious international conference in the field of macrocyclic and supramolecular chemistry and has been held annually. The previous meeting convened in Hangzhou, China, in 2024.

Kyoto, with over 1200 years of history as an ancient capital in Japan, has a total of 17 UNESCO world heritage sites. The venues, ROHM Theatre Kyoto and MIYAKO Messe, are conveniently located in the heart of Kyoto, allowing attendees to explore numerous tourist spots including shrines and temples. At the end of May, it's a beautiful time when trees and plants sprout fresh green leaves in Kyoto.

Access to Kyoto is convenient from various countries through Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX). You can also access to Kyoto from Tokyo (Narita, Haneda International Airport) and Nagoya (Chubu Centrair International Airport). From Kyoto, you can easily reach major cities across Japan via shinkansen trains.

This marks the second time that ISMSC has come to Japan, following the 5th ISMSC held in Nara in 2010. As organizers, we hope this sympodium brings together chemists from all over the world to provide all participants with an outstanding opportunity to enjoy cutting edge topics of macrocyclic and supramolecular chemistry and to meet friends again and make new friends in the historic surroundings of Kyoto.
